Job Role
The Country Manager – Germany will lead the company's residential energy storage business development activities across the German market. This position is responsible for building and expanding distributor networks, developing strategic partnerships, and driving localized sales growth for residential ESS products and renewable energy solutions.
Operating as an independent regional business leader, the successful candidate will manage the full B2B sales lifecycle, including market mapping, distributor acquisition, product presentations, negotiation, and long-term channel development. The role requires strong technical understanding of residential energy storage systems combined with advanced commercial execution capabilities and deep familiarity with Germany's renewable energy landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute localized market expansion strategies for residential energy storage products in Germany.
- Identify, approach, and develop relationships with solar distributors, EPC contractors, electrical wholesalers, and renewable energy solution providers.
- Build and manage a structured distributor pipeline across regional German markets.
- Conduct commercial negotiations, product presentations, and technical discussions related to ESS systems, inverters, and residential power solutions.
- Coordinate sample deployments, distributor onboarding, and long-term partnership agreements.
- Drive localized brand positioning and support marketing initiatives aligned with German market requirements.
- Monitor competitor activities, subsidy policies, market trends, and regulatory developments within Germany's renewable energy sector.
- Collaborate closely with headquarters regarding market intelligence, pricing strategy, product positioning, and sales planning.
- Ensure effective implementation of contracts, delivery coordination, and ongoing distributor relationship management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Must hold permanent residency or long-term legal working rights in Germany.
- Minimum 3–5 years of direct commercial experience within residential ESS, solar energy, renewable energy, or related electrical infrastructure sectors.
- Proven experience independently developing distributor channels and managing B2B sales pipelines.
- Strong understanding of residential energy storage systems, lithium-ion batteries, smart inverters, BMS, and home electricity systems.
- Experience working with distributors, EPC companies, solar installers, electrical wholesalers, or renewable energy trading businesses.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building capabilities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong execution capability in regional market-building environments.
- Fluent in English and German; Mandarin proficiency is mandatory for coordination with headquarters.
