Job Role
The Product Specialist is responsible for driving retail sales performance through proactive customer engagement, product demonstrations, lead generation, and disciplined follow-up activities at shopping mall booths. This role focuses on converting walk-in visitors into qualified prospects, managing customer databases, coordinating surveys and after-sales processes, and consistently achieving individual sales targets while maintaining excellent operational standards and brand presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve individual and monthly sales targets through proactive customer engagement and consultative selling.
- Approach and engage shopping mall visitors to generate qualified leads and sales opportunities.
- Conduct professional product demonstrations and effectively communicate product features, benefits, and value propositions.
- Collect, manage, and maintain accurate customer databases in accordance with company standards.
- Perform timely follow-up activities through approved communication channels to convert leads into surveys and completed sales.
- Coordinate customer survey appointments and ensure smooth communication with internal teams.
- Execute daily booth opening and closing procedures, ensuring operational readiness, cleanliness, product display, and reporting accuracy.
- Maintain premium visual merchandising standards, professional appearance, and excellent customer service at all times.
- Prepare accurate daily reports covering sales activities, leads, follow-up progress, and survey status.
- Coordinate closely with the Store Leader regarding daily targets, promotions, and operational matters.
- Support after-sales activities, including survey scheduling and installation coordination.
- Participate in product knowledge training, sales coaching, role-playing sessions, and performance evaluations.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum Senior High School (SMA/SMK) or Diploma education. Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in retail sales, direct sales, home appliances, consumer electronics, consumer goods, or related industries.
- Experience handling walk-in customers and conducting structured sales follow-up is highly preferred.
- Good personal appearance with a maximum age of 35 years.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and customer engagement skills.
- Proven ability to conduct persuasive product demonstrations and manage customer objections effectively.
- Customer-oriented mindset with a strong passion for achieving sales targets.
- Disciplined in lead management, customer database administration, and follow-up execution.
- Basic computer literacy and reporting skills.
- Professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong work discipline.
- Willing to work on shift schedules, including weekends and public holidays.
- Willing to be assigned to shopping mall locations across Jakarta.
